Single atrium Symptoms and Diagnosis

Clinical manifestations and Symptoms of Single atrium:
Single atrium symptoms and signs is similar with huge atrial septal defect and atrioventricular tube defects. The common symptoms include shortness of breath, dyspnea, cyanosis. Early occur heart failure, and then occur cyanosis and clubbed fingers, toes, in the pulmonary valve area of jet noise, 2 tone Hypersplenism fixed division, apical area of the systolic mitral regurgitation murmur.

Tests use to diagnosis for Single atrium:
Chest X-ray: show pulmonary vascular shadow patterns increased, heart shadow extended, mainly is the right atrium, right ventricle to expand, and the pulmonary artery bulge.

ECG: left-side axis, often at the junction of AV rhythm, atrioventricular broadly in line with similar tube defects.

Echocardiography: the left and right atrium between the atrial echo reflex, the four chamber view as the normal circumstances, by the atrial septum, ventricular septum, mitral, tricuspid valve echo cruciform formation T-shaped reflector to change the reflection echo.

Right heart catheterization: catheterization easily into the right atrium or left atrial catheter atrioventricular pathways with similar tube defects. In fact of mixed blood, single atrium, the atrium and ventricle and the two great arteries of similar oxygen saturation.

Selective atrial angiography: to show a single atrial and left ventricular angiography shows mitral regurgitation.
