Osteoblastoma Diagnosis
Osteoblastoma is diagnosed by Laboratory tests and Imaging.
Laboratory tests: erythrocyte sedimentation rate faster individual cases, CSF changed little. If the tumor into a malignant, serum alkaline phosphatase (AKP) will be increased.
Imaging:
1.X-ray findings: The tumor showed expansive osteolytic changes, the border that cortical lesions outside the thinning. According to extensive vascular calcification, as well as the extent of calcification or plaque performance, or for larger areas of translucent. If the affected side of cortex lesions, that could rupture, resulting in soft tissue tumor, or invasive spinal canal.
2. Tomography: the former than the lesions more clearly show the scope of and involvement in order to facilitate the diagnosis.
3. Other: to be used for CT scan and MRI, can accurately determine the condition and guide treatment.
