Hypercalcemia Treatment
According to the extent of calcium in blood, the doctor take a different treatment. The purpose of the treatment of hypercalcemia is to reduce serum calcium.
1. The treatment of mild hypercalcemia. Hyperlipidemia refers to mild hypercalcemia at 2.75mmol / L or more, 3.0mmol / L following. Without life-threatening hypercalcemia, bone mineral density can be observed with normal serum calcium monitoring of renal function, bone mineral density and urinary calcium excretion.
2. The treatment of moderate hypercalcemia. Mean serum calcium concentration at 3.0 ~ 3.4mmol / L between. Treatment include: expansion with normal saline infusion to patients with mild "hydration." ; If the decline in serum calcium to save as soon as possible, loop diuretics can be used (but banned diuretic thiazides). Add saline infusion with diuretics, calcium can at 1 ~ 2 days, dropped 0.25 ~ 0.75mmol / L. If calcium is not satisfactory can be further decreased by double phosphate oral.
3. The treatment of severe hypercalcemia. Refers to severe hypercalcemia in calcium 3.75mmol / L (13.5mg/dl) above, that is hazardous conditions of high calcium. Treatment include:
