Chondroblastoma Treatment
Chondroblastoma is treated by the tumor curettage and bone grafting. Postoperative local recurrence rate is about 25%. Not for grafting of up to 60% relapse rate. Application of refrigeration technology curettage surgery can reduce the relapse rate. If the tumor small, eccentric growth, can be used for the surrounding normal bone, including local excision of the tumor. Large tumor growth rate quickly, and is advisable for large excision. Recurrent tumor or malignant transformation has to be considered as segmental resection or amputation. Although the disease sensitive to radiation therapy, but because of radiation can cause malignant transformation, which should not be used.
